Christian Arteaga, a dynamic force in the tourism industry, is on a mission to empower indigenous communities through the transformative potential of technology. As the CEO of SmArt Tourism and Hospitality Consulting and the founder of S4S – SmArt for Sustainability, Christian’s profound journey began in the heart of Peru’s Sacred Valley of the Inkas. His father, a pioneering hotelier, faced the upheaval of terrorism in the 80s, leading Christian to recognize both the challenges and the immense potential of the tourism sector.

With an impressive 26 years of experience, Christian’s path in tourism took him across diverse locations, but it was his return to Peru that kindled a deep connection with the indigenous communities of his homeland. In 2010, he immersed himself in working closely with these communities, marking the official start of his Consultancy company in 2019.
