Christine Jaeggi, born 1982, lives with her husband in Meggen/Switzerland, and works for a company as HR & Office Manager. In her free time she enjoys sports, reading and, of course, writing! In 2015, she was awarded the first edition Independent Publishing Award for her debut novel “Fatale Schönheit” (English translation – Fatal Beauty). “Wellenglanz & Inselträume” (English translation – Wavy shine & island dreams) is her fifth of six books. In her novels, she usually interweaves light crime stories with love and family secrets, and likes to incorporate historical happenings, mainly during World War II: Fugitive aid/smuggler invasion/looted art etc. Furthermore, it is very important for her to make a statement with her stories, and perhaps – even if in a small way – affect a difference. In one of her books, she weaves her real-life experiences in sustainable tourism into the fabric of a captivating fictional narrative. Within these pages are snippets from Christine’s remarkable odyssey, providing a rare glimpse into the intricate workings of the tourism industry through the eyes of an outsider— a non-tourism professional with a fresh perspective.
